November FO’s

Well, at least I finished a project this month. Two actually. We took a day trip Saturday and I didn’t have to drive so I took along some kitchen cotton and made a little crocheted hot pad. Ravelry link here: http://bit.ly/2fG0RSk  5

I’ve also been experimenting with knitting short rows and put together this scrumptious scarf. I used some mystery yarn I purchased at a show a while back. Pretty sure it’s acrylic. But beautiful!

Happy Thanksgiving

As I sit watching a beautiful Texas sunrise, I’m reminded of all the blessings in my life. My family and friends, my health, and God’s eternal love. This will be the last Thanksgiving we’ll spend in this home we’ve known for over 16 years. There were some fabulous celebrations here. It will be missed. May your life be filled with Thanks and Giving. Enjoy and cherish the people closest to you. God Bless us all.2

Our New Home

I haven’t had a lot of time for yarn these past couple of months. We bought a new (to us) home and I’ve been crazy busy with contractors and painting to get it ready for move in. I so wanted to be in for the holidays, but alas, the planets didn’t align properly for that to happen. We still may make it for Christmas! The house was built in 1985 and many updates have already been made with the exception of the kitchen. So it’s been completely gutted and sits waiting for new cabinets, appliances and fixtures. The cabinets should be here the first week in December. I’m so excited!!! I’ll sure miss living in the country, but this home is only a few minutes from the farm and it’s on a large 3/4 acre lot. dp2528a-01
