I wasn’t sure about the colors in this cake at first. The more I worked it, the more I liked it. As I finished it last night, I prayed for safety for all in the path of Hurricane Harvey. Ends up it’s a quite fitting name as Harvey started affecting our area as soon as I finished blocking it this morning. #PrayforTexas #HurricaneHarvey #LionBrandMandala
The Mandala yarn is a wonderfully soft acrylic to work with and has very nice stitch definition.

I so enjoy making baby blankets. I can always envision a little angel cuddled up in a handmade blanket. The first baby blanket I made with this pattern was planned for a little girl, turns out my friend had a little boy! Surprise! He’s so adorable! Second time’s a charm for this blanket. Tunisian entrelac works up so nicely with Caron Simply Soft. #Yarnspirations
Oh my! These Mini Flame Calla Lilies turned out spectacular! Flawless Crochet Flowers pattern on Ravelry. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mini-flame-calla-lilies
I’m just obsessed with these beautiful flowers from Flawless Crochet Flowers. They’re great summer projects when it’s just too hot to even think about making a blanket or even a scarf. Well written patterns and a support group are the key to making yourself a gorgeous garden. This white peony is a free pattern from FCF.
“Wendy” by Grace Fearon. Just a stunning pattern! I enjoyed making this piece so much. Very well written as well.
