What an awesome CAL this has been. It took 8 weeks to make a tiny portion of what God & Mother Nature do on a magnificent scale. I’m pretty proud of what was accomplished. Thank you again, Leticia Lebron of Flawless Crochet Flowers for your stunning work to help us make these beautiful works of art!
The 1st of 4 beautiful flowers to be made during the Hawaiian Crochet Flower CAL 2017. A lovely Hibiscus. A bit of a challenge but very fulfilling to construct. I’m really looking forward to the next design.
A new interest I have in crochet is realistic floral arrangements. I’m still learning and practicing. I’ll be taking a class April 22nd at the Yellow Rose Fiber Producers Fiesta in Seguin. I’m very much looking forward to it. I’ve also signed up for this wonderful CAL hosted by Leticia Lebron at Flawless Crochet Flowers. The CAL begins April 1st and with your paid subscription, she’s offering 2 free patterns along with 4 Hawaiian themed flowers. If this is a CAL you’d like to participate in, head over to her page. 2017 Hawaiian Flower CAL. It should be awesome!
I saw this on Pinterest. So lovely. My OCD kicked in. Dropped what I was working on and had to make it. Used cotton for use in the kitchen as a hot pad.
I love it when I can get my yarn fix somewhat close to home. I traveled the short 1 hour drive to Seguin to spend some much needed time with luxurious squishy fiber and some darned nice people. I even won a door prize! It was fabulous! Here’s a picture of my haul.
The Bluebonnets & Indian Paintbrush are in full bloom here in Texas. An incredibly mild winter has spring flowers blooming early this year. Our rural area is bursting with color. Spring is God’s promise of eternal life! Only He can paint a canvas a beautiful and colorful as our world.
