Final Hawaiian Flower Cal Project

What an awesome CAL this has been. It took 8 weeks to make a tiny portion of what God & Mother Nature do on a magnificent scale. I’m pretty proud of what was accomplished. Thank you again, Leticia Lebron  of Flawless Crochet Flowers for your stunning work to help us make these beautiful works of art!

Frangipani Plumeria

The 2nd of 4 beautiful flowers to be made during the Hawaiian Crochet Flower CAL 2017. The Frangipani Plumeria Flower. Much more challenging! Thanks to Leticia LeBron of Flawless Crochet Flowers for hosting the CAL!

Virus Shawl

Not that anyone necessarily needs a sweater or shawl to contend with Texas weather year round, air conditioned offices and homes certainly can demand it. I always seem to be chilled in the mornings.

What a nice project to work up! Just a small bit of adjustment with the yarn as I added a new ball so the colors would blend properly and off again. Very quick to make and I love it.

Side note about the yarn: The Patons Lace in Patina is a bit “sticky” to work with. It doesn’t glide though your fingers well. Better to pre-load on your finger than depend on it to flow well. But very soft and pretty.

Thank you to my beautiful daughter-in-law for modeling it.

Crochet Flower CAL

A new interest I have in crochet is realistic floral arrangements. I’m still learning and practicing. I’ll be taking a class April 22nd at the Yellow Rose Fiber Producers Fiesta in Seguin. I’m very much looking forward to it. I’ve also signed up for this wonderful CAL hosted by Leticia Lebron at Flawless Crochet Flowers. The CAL begins April 1st and with your paid subscription, she’s offering 2 free patterns along with 4 Hawaiian themed flowers. If this is a CAL you’d like to participate in, head over to her page. 2017 Hawaiian Flower CAL.  It should be awesome!
