Shadow Baby Hat – 15K Downloads!

This is my first pattern design and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s become so popular. Normally, I design more from necessity than from my own creativity. But this little gem was special after I learned the beauty of knitted slipped stitches. It’s quite simple and can be adapted to all sizes. And…..the pattern is FREE! Get the pattern HERE.

Photo on the left are the preemie hats I’ve made. Special thanks to Raveler “grantrm” for the adult version she made pictured on the right.

C2C Scrappy Lap Blanket

After organizing my stash I found I have a full bin of scraps and partial balls just waiting to be made into something awesome. What a fabulous way to use them! This is the 1st corner to corner blanket I’ve made in crochet. What fun!  Anything machine washable was used. Doubled up the sock and fingering. Used a smaller hook on bulky yarn.
I used the border from the “Baby Diamonds Blanket” for each block, then I used a flat braid join .
Finished with a simple double crochet border.
